Lost connections. Childhood friends. The stranger who left something behind. The person someone met once 20 years ago and never forgot.
And apparently… two women dancing their hearts out at a Bryan Adams concert.
A few days ago, Michele shared photos she had taken of a mother and daughter at the concert. She didn’t know their names. She didn’t know if they were even in this group. She just knew she had captured something that felt special and she wanted those photos to make it back to them.
And because this is All Things Greenville… y’all found them.
The daughter, Jennifer, saw the post and confirmed that yes, it was her and her mom. She shared that they were getting to experience together the same music her mom used to blast in the car when she was growing up. ❤️
But then Michele told us why she felt so determined to find them, and it made the whole thing even more meaningful.
Michele’s very first concert was with her own mom when she was 7 years old. They saw Pat Benatar, who happened to open for Bryan Adams that night. Michele lost her mom just a few years later.
Seeing this mother and daughter laughing, dancing and soaking in the night together reminded her of something she knows deeply:
Time with the people we love is precious.
So she took the pictures. She posted them here. And hundreds of neighbors helped make sure those memories found their way home.
That’s the stuff we love most about this community.
Yes, we can tell you where to get the best tacos, who can fix your HVAC, and probably identify a mystery Greenville parking lot from one blurry photo. 😂
But every once in a while, this group gets to do something a little bigger.
It gets to connect people.
